Honoring Heroes in New Jersey

The Guy Fieri Foundation fed over 1,400 Veterans and their families at VFW Post 2179 and VFW 2290 in New Jersey this past weekend.

It was an incredible weekend in New Jersey feeding our Veterans at VFW Post 2179 and VFW Post 2290. The Guy Fieri Foundation led by our Founder, Guy Fieri spent 2 days honoring and showing appreciation for their service, sacrifice, and commitment to protecting our country and the freedoms they provide us. We were able to feed around 1,400 Veterans and their families. As well, we delivered over 400 meals to Veterans living at the Gordon H Mansfield Veterans Village in Tinton Falls, NJ and to Penrose One Thompson Veterans Affordable Apartments in Dover, NJ.

Our community partners and supporters decorated both VFW Halls in patriotic red, white, and blue, and made sure the Veterans were taken care of and served all day long. It was an exciting day to have these veterans come out and let them know they are not forgotten, and they are respected and loved.

Thank you to the Mayor of Manville Richard Onderko and the Mayor of Middletown Tony Perry, First Lady of New Jersey Tammy Murphy, Former NFL stars Christian Peter and Rasheed Simmons of NFL Alumni NYNJ, NJ Police and Fire for supporting our program and being a part of this special day!

We could not do an event like this without the support of the community, volunteers, and our partners. Thank you to all the chefs that came out and donated their time for 4 days preparing over 1,400 meals.
